Akbar Torkan, the high council to the Iranian president Hassan Rouhani said based on the drop in the government’s income from oil due to the drop in the oil prices, the country’s budget must rely on other sources of income such as taxes and Custom. He said that Iran for many years has been relying on oil revenue to cover its costs and assign its budget, but since our income from the oil sector has drastically been limited, we need to look in to other sources of income and the increase in taxes would be in the prospect.
