Kazem Mojtabaie, head of police in the Iranian city of Qom, revealed the mullahs’ all-out fear of the end of the year Fire Festivities celebrated by the youth. Every year these celebrations turn into anti-government protests.

“The police views this year’s Fire Festivities as a social issue. However, in this regard any action that will disrupt the society’s peace, order and security will be confronted by the police,” he said.
“All of the capacity of the police and organized popular forces, such as the Basij, will be used and police vehicles will be stationed in 70 important locations across the city,” the Qom police chief added.
