Iranian regime MP warns of possible social unrest in Yazd

Iran, March 11, 2018 – A member of Iran regime parliament, Abulfazl Mousavi Boyuki, from Yazd, central Iran, warned of the water crisis in his constituency.. He added that this crisis in the central province of Yazd has its consequences on the society. “Potable water has been cut off since this morning, and this means that the whole province is without water which undoubtedly would leads to the social unrest” he said.
This clerical regime MP added: “Previously, the Gavkhouni swamp, was the terminal basin of the Zayandehrood river. This swamp was providing the underground subsurface water which supplied Yazd potable water easily. But now, Zayandehrood river has been dried up and water for Yazd is supplied by pipelines, which causes the water cut and shortage time and again.” – Gavkhouni swamp is located in central Iran, east of the city of Esfahan.
