Ehsan Fattahi who had been arrested and tortured a number of times for his religious and social activism, fled Iran in April 2015 to escape the state’s harassment and possible execution. But the Intelligence ministry agents attempted to take his mother and other member of the family as ransom.
Therefore the Kermanshah Intelligence Department summoned the mother of Ehsan Fattahi who had previously been arrested number of times for religious-nationalist activism in western Iran. This 65-year old woman has been subpoenaed following a statement issued by the local judiciary.
Fattahi’s brother who was previously summoned by the Kermanshah Intelligence Department, will be prosecuted in court during next few days.
