A Political prisoner who is on hunger strike at the notorious Ghohardasht prison wrote a letter smuggled out of the prison regarding the hardship he endures.
Ramadan Ahmed Kamal’s letter reads in part: “It has been over 3 months since I underwent surgery on my arm. Unfortunately, after the surgery my right hand’s fingers have become paralyzed, while they were fine before the surgery.
“In light of the fact that prison authorities refuse to address to my needs, I will be launching a hunger strike starting February 20 and continue this protest until I am sent to a hospital and receive medical treatment. If I see no response, I will be forced to go on a dry hunger strike.”
