Iranian officials continue to flee prosecution for Buenos Aires bombing after 20 years

Friday, July 18th, marked the 20th anniversary of the Buenos Aires Jewish center bombing. Hundreds of Argentinians remembered the 85 victims and 300 wounded individuals, while the plotters of this attack have yet to be brought to justice.
Argentinian officials believe this Jewish center was bombed based on a Iranian plan and carried out by the Lebanese Hezbollah.
The judge involved in this case called on Iran to stop issuing meaningless statements and instead arrest those responsible for this atrocious crime and hand them over to Buenos Aires.
Last year after Rouhani was elected as president of Iran the US-based Washington Times daily reported Rouhani was a member of the special team in Iran’s government involved in the Buenos Aires Jewish center bombing. This daily cited an Iranian security agent who fled Iran in the 1990s and added at the time of the explosion Hassan Rouhani was a member of the terror committee and also Secretary of the regime’s National Security Council. Also, Hashemi Rafsanjani, Ali Akbar Velayati and Ahmad Vahidi are among the other suspects of this case.
