A painful example of suicide by a young woman in Sardasht, western Iran: Zahra used to work in the Shalmash Pharmacy in Sardasht. She was the sole individual providing for her family to make ends meet. However, she committed suicide on Saturday, July 4 by throwing herself off a waterfall, after enduring much harsh pressures in the society. When people pulled her body out of the water there were still prescriptions in her pocket. (NCRI – July 5, 2015)
