Iran: Workers’ strike at “Glassbid factory” in Arak

Workers at the “Glassbid factory” in Arak in North Central Iran went on strike on Tuesday, January 3, protesting a five-month delay in the payment of their salaries.
Repeated factory closures, resulting in the workers becoming jobless, mandatory leaves of absence, continuously delayed salaries, a backlog of products, have all created a crisis situation for the factory, which has paralyzed the workers, according to some of them.
The “Glassbid company” is the first producer of grain paint in Iran, which is used in painting traffic and pedestrian lines and walkways.
