Tabriz, 23 April 2018— According to local reports, a 37-year-old woman in Tabriz, Northwestern Iran was attacked with acid yesterday. The attacker, who has not been yet identified, threw acid on the face and legs of the victim. In previous years, Basij and other paramilitary groups with ties to the regime have staged similar attacks against young women in various cities of Iran.
