The water shortage crisis and the consequences of using unsanitary water has caused much anger amongst the people of Chabahar and Port Kankark in southern Iran. While regime officials claim they have procured water sanitation machines for Port Kankark, only once a week and sometimes once every two weeks is water actually pumped for these residents. On other days people are forced to actually pay high amounts of money for tankers to bring water for them.
An employee says when his family is forced to purchase 2 to 3 tankers a month there is barely any money left to make ends meet with the small amount of money left.
There are some areas that people literally have no access to water and people are forced to use unsanitary water. This brings intestinal and skin illnesses amongst older people and infant children.
