Friends of 2011 Iran uprising martyr Mohammad Mokhtari intended to hold a ceremony in Tehran’s renowned Beheshte Zahra Cemetery on Friday, September 9th marking his birthday. However, State Security Force units prevented any such gathering from taking place and even resorted to beating a number of the participants.
The SSF arrested one youth and transferred the individual to an unknown location. Even Mohammad Mokhtari’s own family was not able to attend the gathering and only SSF and Bassij agents were present at the scene.
Mohammad Mokhtari was killed by the mullahs’ security forces during the Iranian people’s uprising in Tehran on February 14th, 2011.
