On the morning of Friday, May 9th, at least 10 inmates from various halls of unit 2 in Ghezel Hesar Prison (west of Tehran), including halls 1, 2 and 3, were transferred to solitary confinement in preparation for their executions.
The names of a number of these prisoners are:
1- Nouredin Gheitasi, 33, from hall 2 of unit 2. He has been in prison for 4 years now.
2. Jafar Arbabi, 29, from hall 2 of unit 2. He has been in prison for 4 years now.
3. Mohammad Jafar Ramezanzadeh, 43, from hall 2 of unit 2. He has been in prison for 4 years now.
4. Hamid Ghobadi of hall 3, unit 2.
5. Salahadin Tamami, 30, from hall 1 of unit 2. He has been in prison for 3 years now.
The inhumane mullahs’ regime has intensified a new wave of executions in order to confront increasing social upheaval.
