
NCRI,17 May 2009 – Iran regime’s henchmen have hanged three prisoners in the central city of Esfahan, the sate-run daily, Etemad reported on Sunday. The report identified two of the victims only by their first name Mahmoud and Alireza.
On Wednesday, Iran regime hanged five prisoners in southern city of Shiraz, the same source reported on Saturday. Another state-run daily, IRNA, reported on Thursday the execution of a woman, 30, and a man in the northern city of Qazvin.
The hangings, surpassed 185 the number of people executed in Iran since the beginning of 2009, indicating a 70 percent rise compared to the same period last year. Iran under the mullahs currently ranks first for per capita executions in the world. It also ranks first in hanging juveniles.
