Director of Education in Khuzestan Province said 7,000 of teachers are seeking to quit their jobs.
“These teachers no longer have any motive to show up at work because they are not getting their demands answered,” he said.
In the past few months teachers across Khuzestan Province, in southwest Iran, have held rallies like many other cities across the country and many have been arrested.
It is worth noting that while most of the government teachers are under intense pressures with high daily expenses, most of them are living under poverty and deprived of nearly all ordinary pensions.
