More than 3000 prisoners of ward 2 in Karaj prison, west of Tehran have gone on hunger strike since Monday Nov. 25 protesting against the medieval conditions and escalating number of executions in Iran.

Six political prisoners started their 28th day of hunger strike in Ghezel-Hesar prison. The health condition of two of them, Hamed Ahmadi and Jamshid Dehghani has deteriorated. They are complaining of severe muscular pain, especially in their knees. All six are suffering from significant weight loss and loss of eye sight.
