Arash Zad was arrested by security forces in Tehran’s Khomeini International Airport as he was leaving Iran to return to his residence in Turkey.
He is the editor-in-chief of a major blog, and the director and founder of other websites, too. One of these projects was aimed at encouraging women to become more active in technology in Iran. This project received a UN youth award in 2014.
