During the riot staged by inmates in Ghezel Hesar Prison, west of Tehran, Iranian regime authorities and forces used tear gas, fire trucks and baton attacks against protesting families of these inmates. At times many bird shots were also heard. These families had come to see their loved for the last time before their execution.
According to reports received from inside Iran, a large number of inmates in unit 2 of Ghezel Hesar Prison have launched a hunger strike and demanded executions come to a halt.
