Residents of Sanandaj clashed with the state security police during a demonstration on the day of solidarity with the people of Kobani. They used this occasion to protest the suppressive policies of the Iranian regime.
The demonstration started at 5PM Saturday Nov, 1 from Eghbal Sq. and continued toward the Namaki intersection. People chanted anti-Iranian regime slogans comparing Kobani with their city, Sanandaj.
The police used tear gas and batons to disperse the crowd. Similar demonstration happened in Bookan, west of Iran.
