The Iranian regime summoned the Jordanian ambassador to Tehran to protest against participation of a delegation of that country’s representatives in the conference of “The Tolerant Islam versus Fundamentalism” with the presence of Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance in Paris.

The state-run Fars News Agency reported: “Following the propagation of a news regarding participation of Jordanian Parliament vice speaker in the party held by a terrorist group in Paris, the Jordanian ambassador to Tehran was summoned to the Foreign Ministry. Being asked to give his country’s official explanation, he was notified of strong protest of the Islamic Republic of Iran against this measure. “

The Jordanian Foreign Ministry rejected the regime’s measure and stated that the presence of the Jordanian parliament members in the Iranian Resistance conference was a personal matter based on and invitation.

This is the second time in the last three months that the Iranian regime has summoned Jordanian ambassador. The first time was on June 29, when a 12-people Jordanian delegation headed by Jordan’s parliament vice speaker attended the greatest gathering of Iranians in Paris with participation of over 70,000.
