According to local sources in Shahr-e Kord, central Iran, shop owners have gone on strike starting Saturday morning. The strike is a response to a call by residents of Isfahan in protest to recent ’barbaric acid attacks against women of our country.’
The strike covers a number of locations including: Kashani Blvd., Sa’adi Ave., north Hafiz Blvd., the entire Mir-Abad Ave. Mellat St. and Balal Ave.
In addition to the shop owners and merchants, Students have also refused to attend their classes.
