Iran: Serious violations against Sunni prisoners who are deprived of their rights

Sunni prisoners in Ghohar Dasht prison in Karaj, west of Tehran are deprived of their rights and according to the reports they are being kept in an inadequate condition.
Around 30 Sunni prisoners are held in hall no.10 of Ghohar Dasht prison. These prisoners are facing numerous problems. Some of these inmates are critically ill, suffering serious illnesses such as diabetes, while a number of others are in need of surgery. However, prison officials have refused to dispatch them to a hospital outside of the prison.
The fresh air time for these prisoners is only 3 hours each day. In some cases prison authorities deliberately cut-off hot water to harass the prisoners, and there are cases that trash is not taken out of the ward for 2 or 3 days.
Amongst these prisoners there are cases that can be granted amnesty or released on parole. However, they are deprived of this due to the current discrimination.
These prisoners are not from Tehran but all from distanced towns but  they only have 20 minutes time to visit their families.
There are also cases that prisoners’ families arrive from a far-away border towns to visit them but prison officials refuse to provide any visits.
