Iran: Self-immolation of a street vender in protest to the harassment by repressive security forces + Video

A tragic and heartbreaking video clip of a vender setting himself ablaze in Terhran was put on internet. Reports say that this vender who was selling petty merchandize in Jomhoori St. in Tehran to make a living when he was viciously attacked by repressive State Security forces, SSF.
The man who has been identified by his first name only, Amir, put gasoline on himself as it’s shown in this video, and sets himself ablaze in front of the eyes of hundreds of people, bringing shock and panic to many.

 

People and bystanders tried to put the fire out and save the poor man’s life.
Amir was then transferred to Motahhari Hospital nearby. Information on his condition is limited and our reporters on the scene are trying to obtain further information of his wellbeing.
This shocking and painful incident happens when the Iranians are getting ready to celebrate the Iranian New Year.
