Iran: security forces disrupt ceremony for renowned writer, poet Ahmad Shamlu

In recent Iran crackdown news, on the evening of Thursday, July 24th, a ceremony was held in memory of Ahmad Shamlu in a cemetery in the city of Karaj, west of Tehran. However, in the middle of the program security forces intervened and disrupted the memorial.
“Security agents first took pictures and video footages of the participants and then asked them to leave the site. Thus they ended the ceremony,” one of the participants said.
