Iran, Gohardasht prison -26th Dec. 2015– Political prisoner Ali Mashadi Kazem, detained in section 2 of Karaj Gohardasht prison, is suffering from severe ophthalmic complications.
To further humiliate and torment this prisoner, the prison guards told him he could only receive professional care for his eye problem, if he would submit to their will and go to the hospital with handcuffs and shackles.
Despite the suffering and pain he was enduring, Mr. Mashhadi Kazem, rejected this inhumane and degrading condition and refrained from going to the local hospital under such humiliating condition.
He has been detained since three years ago only for being a PMOI sympathizer.
