
Around 400 contract workers of phases 20 and 21 of the South Pars gas projects in Asluyie, southern Iran, protested not receiving their paychecks for the past few months. This gathering was held outside the main contractor’s office. These workers returned to their dormitories after receiving promises of having their demands addressed. These workers demanded their requests be responded to prior to February 24th.
The city of Kermanshah, west of Iran, witnessed three series of strikes and protests on Thursday, February 18th:
A group of municipality workers in this city’s 2nd district rallied outside the municipality office protesting not receiving their demands and paychecks last month.
A group of workers of a PVC pipe company protested not receiving their paychecks last month, rallying outside the company office.
A group of employees of the Kermanshah Medical Emergencies Center protested not receiving their annual bonuses, demanding their requests be addressed.
