Clashes, protests and threats made against storeowners

Storeowners in Tehran began protesting on Monday, March 14th after the Facilities Organization issued fines against Tajrish Bazaar stores that remained opened on Sunday. March 13th marked a religious holiday of mourning for Shiites. The storeowners launched protests in response, clashing with a number of state authorities at the site. The storeowners said if the fines are not cancelled they will close their stores and continue protesting.
