Iran: prisoners under pressure during Ramadan

Authorities in Gohardasht Prison are placing pressure on prisoners during the month of Ramadan. Currently these prisoners are even deprived of fresh air. Lack of ventilation during the summer heat, and also all air corridors being closed in the prison halls has caused major breathing problems for the prisoners. Furthermore, symptoms of heart illnesses are also on the rise amongst the inmates. As we speak prisoners Assadollah Hadi, Mohammad Seifzadeh and Foad Moghaddam Mahbusin in ward 12 of Gohardasht Prison are reportedly in emergency conditions.
