Iran poses a threat to the US despite nuke agreement, says US Secretary of Defense

During a press briefing at the department of defense on Feb. 29, secretary Ash Carter and Gen. Dunford, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff said Iran still poses a threat to the US despite the nuclear agreement.
The “longstanding challenges pose threats in specific regions. North Korea is one; that’s why our forces on the Korean Peninsula remain ready, as they say, ’To fight tonight.’
“The other is Iran, because while the nuclear accord is a good deal for preventing Iran from getting a nuclear weapon, we must still deter Iranian aggression and counter Iran’s malign influence against our friends and allies in the region” Secretary Carter said.
“We don’t have the luxury of choosing which threat we may face next, but we do have the ability to set the course for how best to prepare for the future.”
