Years of waiting for treatment finally resulted in Colon Cancer.
Afshin Shorabzadeh, a political prisoner in Minab prison, northwestern Iran finally was diagnosed with cancer after years of waiting in line to be hospitalized. Despite constant and severe pains, the prison authorities rejected his transfer to outside hospitals for treatment and even hid the result of his laboratory investigations from him.
AFshin went in to coma on Sunday due to severe pain and internal bleeding and was finally transferred to an outside hospital unconscious. He has suffered from bleeding ulcer relatedly and was denied professional medical treatment every time.
His condition is critical and there is fear of him losing his life.
