Iran’s so-called Supreme Court upheld the death sentence issued for a Kurdish political prisoner by the name of Bakhtiar Me’mari. Reports indicate this death sentence for Kurdish political prisoner from the city of Mariwan in northwestern Iran is scheduled to be carried out on October 12th.
Bakhtiar Me’mari, 37, was arrested on 4 August 2010 by Mariwan Intelligence Department, and it has been 5 years since he has been behind bars on charges of cooperating with various parties opposing the mullahs’ regime.
