Iran: political prisoner one step from being hanged

Execution sentence for Mostafa Salimi has been upheld by the court and according to his family he would be executed any day.
Mostafa, a Kurdish activist was arrested in April 5, 2003 in the city of Nahavand western Iran and was transferred to a detention center in Saqqez where he was under severe torture both physically and psychologically. He has been accused of what the mullahs call “Moharebeh” or “enmity with God” which is punishable by death. His only crime is being member of a Kurdish group.
His family has tried many times to lower his sentence, but with no result. His brother insists that he is innocent and that it is inhumane to kill someone just being a member of a group. He says the accusation is bogus and his brother shouldn’t be executed. Mostafa was threatened to death many times if he doesn’t cooperate with the authorities.
The execution order to be carried out was issued on 7 April 2014.
