The repressive police in the city of Tabriz, northwest Iran, have launched a crackdown plan to gain widespread control over girls’ schools. Tabriz police commander said the city police has stationed such units in various types of patrols around girls’ schools.
This plan, launched coinciding with the start of new school year, will involve firm conduct by the police towards suspects, the Tabriz police chief said. These measures will be implemented at least into late October.
