Iran: pol prisoner transferred to clinic on 15th day of hunger strike

Political prisoner Behnam Ibrahimzadeh was transferred to the clinic of Gohardasht Prison in Karaj, west of Tehran, on Saturday, August 23rd, after his blood pressure suddenly dropped.
This Iran political prisoner has been on hunger strike since August 9th and has already lost more than 6 kilograms of his weight.
A close friend of this labor activist in his ward said, “Behnam wants to return to Evin Prison, as written in his court ruling. He also is seeking attention to his medical requests.”
Following the Iranian regime’s agents raiding Section 350 of Evin Prison back on April 17th this political prisoner was transferred to solitary confinement in Section 209 of Evin. He went on hunger strike on August 9th following his illegal detention in Section 209, and authorities in response transferred him to ward 1 of Gohardasht Prison on August 12th.
Ibrahimzadeh is also suffering from numerous illnesses and is in need of urgent medical care. However, prison authorities have put this matter on hold.
