Iranian regime henchmen transferred political prisoner Latif Hassani on Thursday, June 26th, from Tabriz Prison to Tehran’s notorious Evin Prison, while he has been on hunger strike since May 18th, protesting human rights violations against inmates.
He was arrested in February 2013 along with a number of other political activists in Iran’s Azerbaijan region on charges of propaganda against the state. He was later sentenced to nine years in prison.
The wife of this political prisoner has said Latif Hassani will continue his hunger strike until he is transferred to the political war in Gohardasht Prison or Evin. This inmate is now currently being held in Evin’s quarantine section.
