Workers in Mahshahr Petrochemical Plant, located in southwestern Iran, went on strike Sunday protesting their wages being stolen by factory officials and the lack of safety measures at the worksite.
One worker mentioned the lack of safety equipment at work and technical problems in various sections of the factory that threaten the lives of the workers.
In conditions where ordinary goods are very expensive and while their wages have not increased, for the past 4 months these workers haven’t been paid the daily compensation all workers of this factory receive.
