Iranian regime’s parliament today rejected Mahmood Nili Ahmadabadi, president Rouhani’s new nominee for Minister of Education. Iran’s state run TV reported that from 246 present members of the parliament, 160 voted NO and only 79 MPs ratified the man for the job. 7 other abstained.
Rouhani had previously called on the MPs to endorse his nominee with high percentage of votes, but members of the parliament in a slap cross his face rejected the request.
The rejection of Rouhani’s point man for the position of Minister of Education is yet another clear sign of deep rift amongst the ruling elite.
