Iran: One million unemployed engineers in Iran

The center for statistics in Iran announced that more than one million Iranian engineers graduated in different engineering fields are absent from the country’s engineering population.
The center for the country’s statics also announced that amongst those present in the field of engineering in the country, more than 230,000 are unemployed.
The deputy director of the country’s Engineering Organization said the reason for this defect in the system is due to the monopoly that the IRGC (Iran Revolutionary Guards Corps) has over the infrastructural projects.
Bahram Gaffari told the state run Jomhouri Eslami daily that all national and construction projects is given to some limited elite individuals in the IRGC making the rest of the contractors with nothing to work on.
