
After their talks, US President Barack Obama, EU President Herman Von Rompuy and European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso stipulated the issue of Iran and its nuclear dossier, along with the subject of Ukraine, were raised in their discussions.
The White House issued a report on March 26th of the joint press conference held by Obama, Rompuy and Barroso. Based on this report in this Brussels press conference Von Rompuy said, “Apart from Ukraine, we talked about negotiations with Iran, about working to end the terrible war in Syria, and to stop violence and anarchy in the Central African Republic. Both are humanitarian tragedies.”
Obama in this press conference said, “We reviewed our negotiations with Iran, which I believe give us the opportunity to peacefully resolve the world’s concerns with the Iranian nuclear program.”
