Amene Ghaderi, the mother of political prisoner Loghman and Zaniyar Moradi, sent a message marking the Iranian New Year, saying mothers of prisoners will not back down from their demands.
“The mothers of political prisoners in Iran know better than anyone else that their children have not committed any crimes and are only enduring time long years behind bars due to their beliefs.
Haven’t we raised our children despite much hardship!
No mother raises her child to commit crimes;
Our loved ones are under torture and inhumane conditions in Iran’s prison for the sole reason of thinking freely and their love in freedom.
Our loved ones, be it they be executed, along our side and/or with our family, they will continue to build our future, a future full of freedom, justice and humanity.
I call on the international community to be the voice of mothers of political prisoners, and do whatever they can to prevent the execution of our loved ones.”
