Iran’s Revolutionary Guards interrogators have raised new sham charges against political prisoner Hossein Ronaghi, detained in ward 7 of Tehran’s notorious Evin Prison. The IRGC interrogators said he was absent when returning to prison after leave, claiming he intended to scape.
Ronaghi in response has said, “In protest to the irresponsible behavior seen by the IRGC, I will sew my lips despite the fact that I am already on hunger strike.”
Ronaghi was arrested on December 13, 2009 and was sentenced to 15 years behind bars after being held in section 2A of Evin Prison for 10 months.
