Mullah Ahmad Khatami, deputy chair of Iran’s so-called Assembly of Experts, at Tehran’s Friday prayer sermon expressed the clerical dictatorship hatred over the recent advances made by the Free Syrian Army.
“The enemies of Islam in Syria founded the Free Army, a free army which is for the Westerners,” he said.
Revealing the mullahs’ deep concerns over the establishment of the Syrian National Coalition for Opposition and Revolutionary Forces, he added, “This plan, like your other plans, will fail. Considering the facts, the Syrian people seriously reject this terrorist group.”
Once again revealing the regime’s fear of the Iranian people’s 2009 uprising, Khatami referred to the mullahs’ upcoming elections and said, “Tehran’s residents have not forgotten the unrest that engulfed their city for a few months. However, those seditioners have entered the scene with new demands.”
