Iran: More than 270 women’s death due to drug addiction

According to a statistics, 279 women have died due to drug addiction in Iran. The statistics show that drug addiction among women in the mullahs’ ruled Iran has dramatically increased. The statistics also shows that the number of women died of drug addiction in 2014 compared to a year before has increased %33 which is only what the official records show. The records also show that the increase in 2014 among women turning to drugs to escape poverty and social injustice has been one of core reasons behind this phenomenon.
Many analysts and physicians believe that the numbers given by the government is nowhere close to the actual number.
It is widely known that the main reason and the cause of the increase in death toll among the people, especially women is the mullahs’ regime itself and the suppression imposed on them. The clerical regime is also accused of deliberately pushing drugs amongst the youth and younger generation to keep them away from political activism and to silence dissent.
