
A group of retired miners of the Tarze (East Alborz) Coal Mine Company rallied on Saturday, February 13th outside the Isfahan steel mill office in Tehran. The protesters, numbering at over 180, have been retired since fall 2013, yet their employers have resorted to various excuses and refused to provide their pensions to this day.
The Isfahan steel mill is the main shareholder of the East Alborz Coal Mine Company and is obligated to pay the pensions for these retired miners.
A group of Tarze miners rallied in the city of Shahroud, northern Iran, on Saturday, February 13th, demanding their delayed paychecks. This gathering was held outside the administrative office of this mine.
These miners have in the past few weeks staged numerous rallies.
