Iran: Mass execution of 13 prisoners in Karaj

In a brutal and inhumane act, the mullahs’ regime hanged 13 prisoners today, Monday, May 25, 2015 in Qezelhesar Prison, Karaj. The names of 8 of these prisoners have been identified as: Abbas Ameri, Mohammad Barani, Asghar kooshki, Haj-Ahmad Ebrahimi, Seyyed Mohammad Mir-Hosseini, Masoud zibaie, Karim Bagheri and Ahmad Rab-doost.
The Iranian regime has not yet released the report of these executions.
Iran Human Rights Activists say the alarming increase in the number of executions in recent months in Iran with both public hangings as well as secret and unannounced executions is the indicative of an internal unrest and social crisis in the country where the regime is evermore afraid of unrest and uprisings in the country.
Recent nationwide demonstration of teachers in more than 100 cities demanding job security and better living conditions, workers protest in Tehran and dozens of other cities in Iran and also the uprising in the Kurdish cities earlier this month has shaken the country’s establishment showing the ever growing discontent among the public.
The regime has resorted to increased crackdown and suppression to confront this social discontent. But as it has been seen, this would only increase the public anger and will eventually heighten the tension which would boil over much more violently in future.
