Iran, man commits suicide by hanging himself

A man died after he hung himself from the top of a building in the city of Shaft, Gilan province, northwestern Iran.
Local media reported a middle age man, residents of the city of Shaft committed suicide by hanging himself in a heartbreaking way from the top of a half-finished building on the Ansari Street.
The number of suicides in Iran has increased in recent weeks due to extreme poverty and the spread of hopelessness among low class people, including many young men and women who are not able to get a job to cover their family’s expenses.
Also on increase are the frustration and protests in Iran against the suppressive measures by the regime and the alarming increase in the number of executions in the country.
Iranian regime’s health secretary, Hassan Hashemi admitted to the high number of depression in the mullahs’ ruled Iran.
“12 percent of the Iranians are suffering of depression of one sort or another, something that must be observed and remedied by the government”, said Hashemi during a parliament session assessing the increasing and alarming number of suicides in the country.
“Suicide rates are especially high among the unemployed. 30% of the total suicide attempts in the country happens in the rural areas and the other 70% happens in the cities”, the health minister asserted.
