College students and youths of Iran’s northwestern city of Mahabad staged a demonstration protesting the death of a number of school girls in an elementary school in the southwestern city of Piranshahr.
Demonstrators held posters including a large one with pictures of the burned innocent school girls with this question in writing, “For what crime…?” This demonstration was held outside the mullahs’ education office in Mahabad, with youths chanting for the education minister to resign.
On Monday residents of Piranshahr took part in the burial ceremony of a dead school girl by the name of Siran Yegane, expressing their condolences to her grieving family.
Furthermore, reports from Sina Hospital in the major Iranian city of Tabriz indicate the conditions of three school girls hospitalized in this facility has deteriorated due to breathing problems.
