According to reports received from inside Iran a group of Iranians from the Lor community from the city of Farsan rallied on Tuesday, August 5th, protesting the deaths of 11 inmates in Shahr-e Kord Prison due to the authorities preventing efforts to save them. These protesters were armed and had protested outside the prison, demanding follow-ups on this crime and those involved held accountable. According to this report one of the prison guards has said the reason of the arson was the inmates’ protest over death sentence issued to five of their fellow inmates.
