Iran: latest medical conditions of detained activist held in limbo

As medical test results of imprisoned civil activist Atena Daemi in Evin Prison were announced, and it became clear that she is not suffering from MS, it is now known that her physical problems in prison are due to the stress and nervous pressures imposed on her. Ms. Daemi remains in limbo and as her appeals court date has yet be scheduled.
It is worth noting that following the publication of images of this political prisoner being dispatched to a hospital, medical care for this civil activist came to a halt and security officials informed her family they are on “red line, and this is why we are not allowing her be dispatched outside of the prison.”
Daemi, 27, was arrested on October 21, 2014 and kept in solitary confinement and interrogation for 57 days. She has been charged with propaganda against the state, assembly and collusion against national security and insulting the leader, for which she was condemned to 14 years behind bars.
