
Workers of the Pas Soap Factory in Khoramshahr held a protest rally on Sunday, July 6th, protesting not receiving their pensions and demands of the past 2 years.
The workers staged this protest rally while they are unable to even pay their bus fair to go and stage their rally outside of the company, and they are forced to walk the 5 kilometer distance while they are fasting in Ramadan.
Workers of the Shahr-e Kord Pega Poweder Milk Company rallied outside the company building in Farrokhshahr industrial city. The protesters said it has been two months since they received their insurance pensions. The protesters also prevented individuals from entering the factory until the workers’ insurance pensions are deposited.
A group of Tehran bazaar merchants went on strike on Saturday, July 5th, protesting tax extortion, according to reports from inside Iran. The bazaar store owners have said they are not willing to pay such taxes. It is said that the regime’s taxes has at times reached the point of 120 million rials a year.
According to reports from Tehran, stationery retailers surpassed their 8th day on strike in the city’s bazaar on Monday, July 7th. They have been on strike since Sunday of last week protesting tax extortion and escalating pressure on them to pay their annual taxes.
Reports from Tehran indicate many bazaars were closed on Monday, July 7th, including Reza Bazaar, clothing bazaar, textile bazaar and gold retailers’ bazaar. A storeowner in Tehran’s textile bazaar said, “Business is completely down and there is no sale. It is like this every day.”
According to this report all the Tehran bazaar merchants are complaining strongly against tax extortions and they intend to launch widespread strikes.
On Sunday, July 6th, a group of Bukan residents protested the sewage water conditions and such pipes passing behind their homes. They held a rally outside the municipality and demanded the pipes’ paths be changed.
A number of Kermanshah communications personnel held a rally on Saturday, July 5th, demanding their salaries of the past two months. Regime officials in this entity are claiming they have no money to pay the personnel’s paychecks.
