Iran: Isfahan residents stop buying chickens in protest to high prices

According to reports, residents of Isfahan, central Iran, in a public call on behalf of the people of Isfahan have started a 10-day campaign to stop buying chickens in protest to high prices.
The call reads: the boycotting of the purchase of chickens starts from Feb. 21st and continues for 10 days.
If the high price of chicken meat is troubling you, do not buy any chicken for 10 days.
The price announcement for chicken meat is at 8,000 tomans per kilo and could reach up to 10,000 tomans during next couple of weeks. The official rate of exchange is about $1=2,500 tomans
